Wisconsin Marathon Wheelchair
Division Info and FAQ:

What: Wheelchair race at Wisconsin Marathon. Racers will compete in the Half Marathon distance only.

When: Saturday, May 1st. 6:55 am start time.

Where: Wisconsin Marathon’s Half Marathon course. Start line is in downtown Kenosha at 54th and 1st, in front of the Kenosha Civil War Museum.

Details: There is a field limit of 20 participants. All participants must use a three-wheeled wheelchair to participate. Similar to the marathon and half marathon races, awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers.

Deadline: All racers must be registered by April 15, 2010.

Price: The price will go up to $50 on March 16th.

FAQ:
Q: Can handcycles be used?
A: No. By definition, a handcycle is a cycle. A wheelchair uses no gears and, therefore, it is akin to running.

Q: What is the course like?
A: The route is on paved streets, but there are sections where potholes and bumps can be numerous. There are also two 180 degree turn-around points on the course.

Rules:
• Helmets are required
• Wheelers must follow signs near the finish and finish to the right side
of finish line.
• No Handcycles! You will not be allowed to start the race.
